THE AP VISUAL STYLE GUIDE PROJECT
In 2019 I began creating this style guide and continue to maintain it to this day. It was an honor and probably one of the most challenging projects I've had at my AP career – I mean these design decisions were going to carry through my colleague's work – no pressure!

Providing accessibility guidance and best practices in addition to design direction were paramount.

I enlisted the help of a colleague who I have the utmost respect for to collaborate and flare on ideas. That collaboration, I believe was critical in assembling a more robust guide.

The 2016 U.S. presidential elections were a historic moment which captivated the global stage. I was honored to serve as the creative lead and project manager for AP 2016 election results visuals. All 50 state county-level result graphics were created, just a few samples are shown here.

Special projects

AP VoteCast, is a new, unbiased election survey of the American electorate developed by AP along with NORC at the University of Chicago, which delivered impressive results in the U.S. 2018 midterm. This double page graphic represents a few of the many insights from AP VoteCast.

Data galleries

infographics
